Sumitomo (SHI) Cyclo Drive Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI), one of the largest manufacturers of machinery in Japan, and the global leader in power transmission knowledge and innovation.
The company was first established in 22nd September 1995 as SM-Cyclo S.E.A. Pte Ltd. The company was renamed Sumitomo (SHI) Cyclo Drive Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (SCA) in Year 2000 to better reflect the wider coverage and its territorial responsibilities.
In less than a decade, the SCA group has rapidly expanded its reach to include subsidiary operations around the region. These include SM-Cyclo (Malaysia), SM-Cyclo (Thailand), SM-Cyclo (Australia), SM-Cyclo of Hong Kong and regional sales offices in Philippines, India and Vietnam.
The subsidiary operations around the region provide a "near-customer" advantage and are capable of providing fast delivery and engineering support within 24 hours.
Working hand-in-hand, the group strive to provide greater product availability and support as well as an unrivalled service network across the Asia Pacific Region.
